After working as a journalist in British regional press and radio, Danny trained in magazine and newspaper publishing with the United News & Media group, owners of Miller Freeman and The Daily Express. In 1995 he was recruited by the UK’s first online newspaper (Telegraph.co.uk) where he stewarded it to win online Newspaper of the Year repeatedly. To help advance the industry he co-founded the UK and European Internet and Interactive Advertising Bureau trade associations which then elected him President four times. He has helped launch twenty further digital trade associations from New Zealand to Mexico, and as a European Vice President for NBC’s internet businesses has helped run search engines, email applications and social media, as well as entertainment sites from print publishers. He set up Digital Strategy Consulting in 2000 to help firms make the transition to digital channels and launched its subsidiary Digital Training Academy in 2004.
