Yahoo is putting over 100 domain names up for auction from 15th November, including potentially lucrative ‘sandwich.com’, as part of a company ‘Domainapalooza’ clear out sale.

The domain names also include av.com and blogsport.com, and have largely come from inheritances from acquisitions, the company has made over the years.

Yahoo says in its Tumblr blog post that the company has owned the domains for “quite some time.”

Kevin Kramer, deputy general counsel, writes in the post that the consensus was to release them again to the Internet (at prices that range from exorbitant to a king’s ransom).
The cheapest domains have a reserve price of $1,000 and include names like cyberjokes.com and webcal.com.

The list includes also includes addresses that have plenty of potential, such as "chillertheater.com," "cyberjokes.com", “cursed.com” and "religious.net."

Some of the more bankable names include transmissions.com, which has a reserve of $100,000. Sandwich.com has a starting price of $50,000.

Av.com tops the list, charging a million dollar for the former redirect of now defunct search pioneer Altavista.
