To coincide with the launch of its new S8 smartphone, Samsung has launched a new VR content service in UK, SamsungVR.com and Samsung VR application.

Revealed at this week’s Unpacked 2017 event,The VR content library will provide consumers with a library of VR experiences and enable developers, publishers and social media enthusiasts to live stream and host their content in one location.
With over 8,000 videos and 2,000 premium experiences available at launch, the new platform features content from a range of providers Copa 90, Rinse FM and Nowness are set to launch local content for the platform in the coming months.
Available on mobile, the web, as well as on the Samsung Gear VR, the service will allow users to browse and explore VR content across a range of channels based on their passions including animation, sports and nature and wildlife, as well as share and embed content directly onto their own websites. Users will also be able to enjoy a range of premium made-for-VR series including Invisible, a supernatural drama which follows a mysterious American family, directed by Doug Liman, the director behind The Bourne Identity.
Together with the newly announced Samsung Galaxy S8, users will be able to create more immersive content than ever, thanks to the infinity screen and the new Gear VR headset. Capturing and uploading VR content straight from the Samsung Gear 360 camera is also simple and seamless with the Gear 360 Manager app.
