Sony and IPC amongst brands first to sign to Collective’s premium video ad exchange

Collective has launched a private marketplace to offer media buying agencies and advertisers real-time bidding (RTB) access to its premium video platform. Combining’s RTB technology with Collective’s audience data, Collective’s private exchange will offer pre-roll video advertising space across targeted audiences and premium publishers in real-time auctions. Publishers include IPC, WWE, The Independent, Sony Music and iVillage.

Top online media owners in the UK: Specific Media leads way for agency service

UK agencies have voted Specific Media, owner of MySpace, as the best media owner to deal with, while Facebook has risen to the sixth spot, according to a new poll. The survey, carried out by the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA), is designed to measure the levels of service media owners provide to ad agecies, in order to outline where improvements can be made.

Dennis Publishing buys Web User magazine from IPC

IPC Media has sold its popular internet magazine Web User to Dennis Publishing, for an undisclosed sum. The move comes as part of the review of IPC Media’s niche and specialist titles.

Web User is the UK's best-selling internet magazine, offering internet news, reviews and computing advice, alongside a large number of user generated forums. The deal sees Dennis acquire the brand – currently published within the IPC Inspire portfolio – with immediate effect. There will be no interruption to the publishing schedule of the title.
