Stypi is described as a real-time editor that allows multiple users to make changes to a single document at the same time, by sharing the URL to the document. Salesforce mixes social media with CRM after Radian6 buy

Salesforce has unveiled a new social insights platform that integrates Radian6 into its core Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. In May, cloud-based enterprise company Salesforce.com acquired Radian6, the social media monitoring startup, for $326 million. Salesforce, which is best known for CRM or customer relationship management products, said at the time that the "hundreds of millions of conversations [Radian6 captures] every day across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, blogs and online communities" will help provide its businesses with "actionable insights in real-time.”

Toyota ties with Salesforce.com for branded social network

Toyota has partnered with Salesforce.com to build Toyota Friend, a private social network for Toyota customers and their cars. Toyota Friend will be powered by Salesforce Chatter, a private social network used by businesses, and will be offered, first in Japan, initially with Toyota’s electric vehicles (EV) and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHV) due in 2011. For example, if an EV or PHV is running low on battery power, Toyota Friend would notify the driver to re-charge in the form of a “tweet”-like alert.

Salesforce boosts social media monitoring with Radian6 buy

Salesforce.com is to buy social media analytics firm Radian6 for $326m, as the Online CRM firm looks to boost social media features for its clients. Radian6, which counts Dell , Kodak , PepsiCo , and UPS among its customers, makes products that monitor conversations on social media sites, allowing companies to gain real-time insights on customer trends. Salesforce.com said the combination will enhance its cloud offerings and help it integrate conversations on social media sites into its corporate social network.
