Just 1 in 10 consumers 'willing to pay for online content'

Most consumers believe the internet as we know it would ‘disappear’ without ads, but most want want more information about the online ads they see and only 1 in 10 are willing to pay for advertising-free content, according to a new survey. The study, a report being published by the IAB UK and ValueClick, was based on 2,000 interviews carried out by Kantar Media - 650 face-to-face and 1,350 online.

Australia report: Top web categories and ad networks

Google Ad Network remains the top ad network in Australia, followed by Adconion and ValueClick, according to new data. The study, from comScore looked at the top Internet activities and ad networks in Australia from its comScore Media Metrix service. The report found that Portals led as the top category by penetration, reaching 96.1 percent of Australians online in September, while Social Networking accounted for the largest share of total online minutes at 20.8 percent.
