Jan is a global digital strategist and trainer, moving across to the Digital Strategy Consulting group from Google in Spring 2016. Here at Digital, Jan leads on global digital strategy development, coaching leadership teams and marketers, and driving digital transformation at board level for our consumer-facing clients.

Jan Kodadek: background

Jan's expertise is in developing business and marketing strategies for our digital world, balancing a unique mix of creativity, technical, data and analytical understanding and commercial acumen to drive global brand acceleration.

Her specialties include: brand development, including overall strategy, data-driven consumer insights, integrated online and offline marketing, content and communications eco-system development; building e-commerce brands and optimising operations; strategic model creation and digital transformation.

Jan has broad experience with mobile, geo-targeted, weather-responsive and programmatic campaigns.

With a keen interest in innovation, Jan is passionate about how technology is changing the world and how brands can utilize these opportunities to deliver superior customer experiences and create and deliver new products, services, brands and business models.

Jan started her marketing ‘education’ at Nike, followed by fashion and music marketing for brands, including glaceau and Pepsi.

An entrepreneur at heart, she ventured into e-commerce, co-founding shreddingbetty.com, a start-up women’s snowboard retailer, later consulting for Marks & Spencer and Debenhams on their international e-commerce businesses, advising on marketing strategy and operations for over 8 countries.

Most recently, Jan led the global relationship with Unilever’s Refreshment category for Google, collaborating with brands such as Lipton, Magnum, Cornetto and Walls on global digital strategy and creative campaigns for product innovations and brand equity. Also accountable for the global marketing capability partnership, Jan successfully scaled the Google-Unilever Talent Exchange, a unique, jointly-designed Learning & Development program focussed on accelerating the digital marketing proficiency of Unilever’s brand development teams, from initial pilot to over 12 different countries.

Her ongoing desire to contribute to the entrepreneurial community and drive acceleration for ground-breaking start-up businesses led her to share her expertise as a mentor for Campus, Google’s London start-up business accelerator, winning the 2014 ‘Super Mentor’ award for those who made the greatest impact.

A shameless foodie and coffee snob, Jan loves to check out cool new obscure restaurants and cocktail bars and is pretty good in the kitchen herself, but burns the calories via snowboarding and yacht racing. Obsessed with tech innovation, she spends far too much money supporting Kickstarter campaigns.
