Your role
Our partners are looking for an animation production manager to run one of their new projects. It is so secretive at the moment they cannot even name it

Most of the work is in Flash, After Effects and Toon Boon. The animation is simple, but it needs to be really really high quality, very classy, so we need someone with an excellent design eye. Potentially it is a long term position and well remunerated. Candidates need to have some experience of contract work as we have to have all staff and freelancers etc under very tight secrecy.

So in summary: someone with experience in production managing/producing/directing animation (or sophisticated graphics/web projects/VFX), someone with very good taste (with a proven track record of production managing quality outcomes), someone very solid and dependable who is looking for a long term prospect in London. Creatively it should be a very satisfying role.

Competencies (Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Attitude)

• It’s about managing the team of artists, so somebody basically upbeat, straightforward, good-humoured, communicative and energetic.
• Good sense of detail
• It’s about making lists of tasks and ticking them off in the right order. Also checking that other people have kept to the task list and schedule.
• Good at time structure and working to a deadline
• An interest in stories, drawing, animation, film-making (or at least one of these areas) will help build your understanding

Managerial role: heading a team of 3

• You’ll need to be unflappable, motivated and have excellent people skills. Your artists will be brilliant creatives and you’ll understand the motivation and encouragement that is needed to bring the best out of them.

When and where: London (Soho) 1/2 day every day
