3 month contract with a view to perm | Soho, London
In this publishing role you’ll be managing several websites, ensuring content sent to you is published in the right places with the right tags at the right time. You’ll also be responsible for template changes and the connection of simple feeds to social media platforms. Separately you’ll be using rapid e-learning authoring tools to convert content from PowerPoint and static web pages into webinars materials.
To succeed you’ll be experienced in web publishing using CMS tools such as Moveable Type and have had enough formal training in programming to work with discipline and structure. You’ll have enough basic HTML to identify bugs and problems with simple page templates and be able to fix them by editing the source code. You’ll have had significant experience in rapid e-learning authoring tools and be able to produce materials under direction. You’ll need to be a self starter with good project coordination and experience of working in a small team. You will be a native English speaker with good communication skills. Additional skills that would be beneficial, though not essential, are excellence in written English to the level of basic web copywriting.
There is scope for a variation of this role which would suit a developer – no content creation and less publishing in favour of tech platform management. Additional skills in this case would include PHP, template configuration, Drupal, WordPress, Moveable Type and simple tech project management.
