MyEd – a new start-up – has today launched, allowing parents and students to rate and review different education institutions across the UK.

The site has been designed to help users search for and identify the nursery, school, or university which best suits their needs. MyEd’s specialised search engine allows users to whittle down options depending on their preferred criteria, making the selection process stress-free.
MyEd’s review feature allows parents and students to offer frank and honest feedback on different elements of an institution’s offering, be it the quality of the teaching or the standard of food in the cafeteria. Insights are captured via a simple questionnaire, and allow users to provide valuable first-hand insight.
In addition to reviews from parents and students, MyEd draws on a broad range of data sources in order to give a complete picture of what an institution has to offer. First-hand insight is combined with data from recent Ofsted inspections, as well as reports UCAS, the Department for Education, HESA, and ISI. By drawing upon such a wide range of sources, MyEd ensures its users have a multi-faceted approach when it comes to searching for and choosing the right nursery or school.
Education institutions can claim their listings through the site, allowing them to add additional information onto their profile, and respond to user-generated content. Institutions can choose to upgrade to a sponsored listing on the site, and add additional images and videos to their profile.
MyEd also features an Advice Centre that offers readers information and guidance on a wide range of topics related to the different levels of education, from nursery through to university.
Upkar Pardesi OBE, co-founder and chairman of MyEd, comments: “For parents searching for suitable education institution, the selection process can be complex and frustrating. We designed MyEd to help alleviate those pain-points, by capturing helpful and informative data about institutions, and presenting it all in one place. The review section offers a new level of transparency, and this particularly important given how much parents value first-hand insight.”
