AI case study: making personal voice assistants more personal

Aug 12, 2021 | Artificial intelligence

Natural language processing (NLP) is a game-changer in how we interact with software. Nowhere is that more visible than in the personal voice assistants. And AI is the secret ingredient that’s making this possible.

Understanding natural language is one of the most challenging tasks for machines. NLP enables a software application to understand, interpret, and generate human text. NLP is the AI behind personal digital voice assistants (such as Alexa, Google, or Siri) and many chatbots.

Sophisticated NLP also uses ‘sentiment analysis’ to decode the mood, attitude, or other subjective qualities in language.
