UK smartphones are increasingly turning to their phones for shopping, with half happy to spend over £10 via their mobiles, according to this new infographic from Intela.


The infographic highlights the 40 per cent of UK smartphone owners that are more likely to purchase retail goods from their mobile devices, and points to the future expansion of M-Commerce transactions.
Other interesting stats from the infographic include:
• Over 1 in 3 (40 per cent) UK smartphone owners are more likely to purchase goods over their mobile than a year ago
• 50 per cent of UK smartphone owners said they are happy to spend over £10 on their mobile phones
• The most effective trigger for brands to prompt smartphone owners to make a purchase on their mobile phones is via email, with 1 in 4 (27 per cent) finding this most effective
• 12 per cent are happy to buy goods worth over £100 via a single transaction on their mobile and that retail goods promotions were the key motivator to make mobile purchases
