The amount of mobile data used by fans inside MetLife Stadium set a record for a one-time sporting event well above last year’s Super Bowl usage, according to AT&T and Verizon Wireless.


AT&T reported its users sent 624 gigabytes of data, the equivalent of 1.8 million social media posts with photos, while Verizon customers sent a total of 1.9 terabytes.
At its peak, Verizon saw the number of data connections rise by 800 percent over the busiest hour in New Orleans a year ago.
Verizon said it shattered its record for data usage in a single hour during the half-time show with Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The actual game was a bit one sided, with the Seattle Seahawks thrashing the Denver Broncos 43-8. So instead of showing game highlights, here’s three of the best ads athat aired during the coveted commercial slots:
