The deal will see the music streaming service made available through Volvo’s Sensus Connected Touch system, making Spotify integrated into its new car dashboards.
Users can control the tunes using voice activation, helping drivers keep their hands on the wheel.
The Android-based system also includes a 7-inch touchscreen.
Touch systems will be launched across Volvo models from May 2013.
Spotify explains its interest in the car, with Pascal de Mul, Global Head of Hardware Partnerships, explaining: “We know that the car is the number one environment in which people want to listen to music, so we are working to make Spotify availble for drivers in as many types of car as possible.”
