Men and women differ in using social media and their mobile devices, with women far more likely to ‘like’ or follow brands for discounts and offers, according to this new infographic from Finances Online.


The gender difference revolves around three distinct areas: our personal and professional relationships, the need for information and entertainment, and consumer behavior.
Key findings:
• 13% of men use social media for dating in comparison to only 7% of women.
• 10% more women than men play games on their smartphones
• 56% of men (and only 39% of women) scan QR codes for online deals
• 71% of women, compared to only 18% of men, will ‘Like’ or follow a brand for deals
