Start-up chatbot company ubisend has developed AI technology to give an online voice to the famous Monkey for the first time through Facebook Messenger.
Ahead of Red Nose Day, consumers will be able to contact the tea brand’s Monkey character via the @MostFamousMonkey account.
They will receive jokes and be able to donate to Comic Relief – to which PG tips is to give £300,000. You can receive jokes from Monkey here.
The ‘Monkey chatbot’ is an excellent example of how companies can adopt AI technology to meet growing consumer demand for instant and more personal experiences from brands. By creating an online persona consumers can interact with, Unilever-owned PG Tips has essentially brought its brand to life.
