The firm analysed $5 million spent in online purchases performed by the social commerce platform.
The data indicates that while Facebok commands by far the highest percentage of all social revenue (39%) due to its dominant market share, an individual referral on Google+ is worth an average of $10.78 compared to Facebook’s $2.35.
The study also indicates that Twitter’s revenue per share is lower than that generated by Facebook, suggesting a lower level of social media engagement.
In terms of sector, Google+ performed particularly well for electronics, the research discovered.
