Under the new update, Google Analytics will now be available directly in the AdMob interface so developers can get deeper insights into how users are interacting with an app.
Ads will now be able to target users with specific promotions to buy items in a game, and developers will have more ways to optimize ads to generate more revenue.
The move comes as part of a wider update of the internet giant’s app and entertainment store, with cross compatibility for multiplayer games with iOS users and ‘Game Gifts’ letting players send virtual in-game objects to fellow players.
“We’re making Google Analytics available directly in the AdMob interface, so you can gain deeper insights into how users are interacting with your app,” said Google’s Greg Hartrell, in a blog post announcing the changes. “Turning those insights into effective action is vital, so we’re excited by the opportunities that in-app purchase ads will offer — enabling you to target users with specific promotions to buy items in your game.”
The Google Play Services 4.3 update is rolling out worldwide now.
