The Philippine Google Zeitgeist is based on what Filipinos searched on google.com.ph.
The devastating Typhoon Yolanda (international name Haiyan), one of the strongest typhoons also made it to the list .
Gail Tan, Google Country Communications Manager, said: “With the growing percentage of population going online, Zeitgeist becomes reflective of the issues and topics we’re interested in. This year’s lists speak a lot about our concern for national achievement and progress, while at the same time our curiosity in pop culture issues.”
