The update affects Google’s Maps Preview on desktop, which allows users to choose to upgrade to an early version of the company’s next major release of its maps product.
Available for driving, walking, and biking directions, once a user has chosen a starting point, they can click ‘+’ and add stops to their route by typing in the search box or clicking on the map.
As they add more, the user can drag destinations around in the order they want to go in.
Public transport directions, however, are still limited to one start point and one end point.
Google has also added the ability to locate flight, hotel, and restaurant reservations from within Google Maps.
In a Google Now-like card, Google will show information such flight times and instantly show your upcoming plans.
“This info is available when you’re signed into Google, and only you can see it,” the company writes. Upcoming events for sports arena and concert halls will be listed, too.
